Tri-City Covenant Church
A Ministry of Christian Reconstruction
Our Worship
Worship at TCCC is viewed as covenant renewal. We come into God's presence each week because we have broken the covenant and need to repent. We seek forgiveness, enter God's throne room, hear His word, enjoy a meal with Him, and are sent out to do the work of the kingdom.
Our worship is dialogical. God speaks to us and we respond. Most of the time, our response is in God's own words as found in the Bible. Participation is required in a dialogue.
Much of our worship is sung because music adds glory to the words that we sing and pray. We like to sing the Psalms in our worship. As God's hymnal, the Psalms bring great glory to Him and they teach us to think as God thinks.
We understand worship taking place with the Universal Church as well as with the local body. Therefore, many parts of our liturgy are taken from liturgies that have been used for hundreds of years. This ties us in with the saints through the ages.
Most importantly, our worship is Christ-centered. We don't worship to please men, but the Lord Jesus. We seek to bring before God a spiritual sacrifice that is pleasing to Him not to the the world with whatever pleases it.
